Mack Davis a.k.a Bryan Mack, hails from Fort Worth, Texas. With his family moving to the Lake Worth area in the 1950's, you can say his roots are definately in the same place where many cowtown legends have been born. He's been playing in bands you never heard of and in honky tonks for the last 10 years. Sometimes for whiskey and sometimes for free, but Mack never let anyone take his musical dream from him.
Tim Wheeler started cutting his teeth on music at age 9. Starting his young career as a drummer, he switched over to guitar at age 15 and by 1984 had achieved the acclaim of "Texas Tornado" from Buddy Magazine (Dallas, TX). He created his own blues band, The Soul Shufflers, in 1993 and is still going strong with Texas blues music. Tim has appeared on PBS TV, WFAA 8 TV, and his single "Missin' You Again" was picked by Dan Aykroyd for his house of blues radio show "Pick of the week" syndicated to 180 stations. He toured Europe seven times between 1997-2002.
Rick Read has played bass and Chapman stick well over 20 years. Having played in many bands across many genres, Rick has honed his skills and become a fine performer on stage and a consummate studio musician. Proficient on fretted and fretless bass, as well as the unique sound of Chapman stick, Rick has a rich palette of sounds and ideas to choose from to help the Honky Tonk Zeros keep the jukes joints jumping.
Scurge Matlowe started playing drums at age 4 in his hometown of Monterey Park, California. Having played jazz, blues, country, western swing, metal, and rock all professionally, he prides himself on being the no drama drummer, focusing on making whoever he plays with sound great. He's happy to be throwin' down the outlaw stomp with the Honky Tonk Zeros, and watching the crowds two-step to his beats.
